Gas prices in the Yellowhammer state have risen 1.1 cents per gallon in the past week, increasing to an average of $2.25 a gallon, according to GasBuddy.

Despite it being the week of Thanksgiving, gas prices in Alabama are 0.9 cents per gallon lower than a month ago but still stand 0.7 cents per gallon higher than this time last year.

The cheapest gas in Alabama comes in at $2.05 per gallon while the most expensive comes in at $2.65.

The national gas average has fallen 2.2 cents per gallon in the last week.
