GAS PRICES STAYING LOW

Gas prices have averaged around $1.87 per gallon for the past month, but why?
Starting in late June, demand for gas remained about 17% lower than last year at this time.
Gas Buddy Patrick De Haan said the low demand for gas has played a big factor in keeping prices steady.
“Even with low gas prices, it looks like motorists are certainly not out on the road as frequently as they were last year,” De Hann said.
High Unemployment and restrictions surrounding COVID-19 also add to the reason for low gas prices.
