Residents of Alabama see gas averaging $2.24 per gallon, down 2 cents per gallon in the past week.

Gas prices are 4 cents cheaper than a month ago and 9.6 cents lower than last year.

75 cents separate the highest and lowest priced gas stations across the state with the cheapest price at $2.00 per gallon and the most expensive at $2.75 per gallon.

The cheapest gas station in the entire country sits at $1.84 per gallon.

The national average price of gasoline has fallen 3.3 cents in the last week, averaging $2.58 per gallon. Yet, the highest gas station still tops out at $5.09 per gallon.

Nationally, gas is 7.7 cents cheaper than a month ago and 1.8 cents per gallon lower than a year ago.
