When you purchase a snack at the grocery store or in a gas station, you’ve probably never considered the journey that snack took on its way to the shelf.

Well, Alabama Public Radio and the Center for Public Television teamed up and took a look at one Tennessee-based company producing pork rinds for snack aisles across the South.

Luke Brimhall, whose family has been a part of the pork rind business for over two generations, offered up an in-depth look at the pork rind business. The most surprising find? Delivering pork rinds is a job requiring a lot more than the ability to lift 50 pounds.
