Fraternity Food Giveaway

The Alpha Tau chapter of Omega Psi Phi fraternity collaborated with the Bridge Builder Foundation and UPS in order to give out both food boxes and masks on Saturday, May 23.

This was the second food drive the fraternity has held during the pandemic.

Both undergraduate and graduate members of the fraternity spoke about the importance of providing service to their fraternity as well as the community.

Darryl Bowen, a fraternity member, said that giving back is one of their principles and they just want to uplift the community.

“This is really helping families out tremendously because many individuals in the community have been greatly affected by the COVID pandemic, being unable to work and unable to support their families at this point and its been real struggle to provide food for their families so this is really coming in and filling in a void that they have at this moment, so this is a great impact on our community,” Bowen said.

They plan to continue to service their local community however they can.
