FRATERNAL ORDER OF POLICE HOSTING BENEFIT RIDE THIS MONTH
The Fraternal Order of Police is hosting a benefit motorcycle ride Sunday, Aug. 23 for an officer who was injured in a crash in Northport last month.
Officer Justin Taylor was injured in an off-duty crash July 7, said Tuscaloosa Police Chief Brent Blankley. Proceeds from the 58-mile benefit ride will be given to Taylor’s family.
The Fraternal Order of Police and several local businesses are providing food, a DJ and items for a post-ride raffle.
Registration happens at 11:30 a.m. and the ride kicks off at 1 p.m. The event begins at T-Town Harley Davidson, 6401 Interstate Drive in Tuscaloosa. The cost to register as a rider is $25, and passengers will be $5.
