UPDATE: 4 GIRLS CHARGED AFTER THREATENING SOCIAL MEDIA POST

UPDATE 4 p.m.: Perry County Sheriff Billy Jones said four juvenile females were charged with making terrorist threats in relation to the social media post made around 12:30 a.m. Monday.

The teens are being taken to the Dallas County Juvenile Detention Center in Selma. The charge is a felony under Alabama law.

All classes and school activities will continue as normal at Francis Marion beginning Tuesday.


Francis Marion School in Marion dismissed classes today because of a threat made on social media.

The Perry County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
