Government officials and faith leaders led a community discussion last Saturday about the future of policing.

Panelists included the Honorable Judge John. England Jr., Deputy District Attorney Justin Jones, Councilwoman Sonya McKinstry and Jon Quitt, among others.

Organizer Danielle Eaton said the conversation was about asking the tough, imperative questions and discussing collective action forward.

Participants discussed relevant issues such as racism in the workplace, the justice system, and how we can move toward community improvement.

Eaton said several people asked her when they would hold another panel.

She said, “There were a lot of things that, black, white, male, female, we didn’t know about each other and we learned that today.”
