FORMER ALABAMA BASEBALL COACH GREGG GOFF HIRED AS PURDUE HEAD COACH

Former Alabama baseball coach Gregg Goff has found a new head coaching gig.

The Purdue Boilermakers announced Thursday that Goff will be promoted to head coach after spending the past two years as a volunteer assistant under Mark Wasikowski, who was hired by the University of Oregon earlier this week.

Goff only spent one year in Tuscaloosa, going 19-34-1 before being fired after allegations emerged that he was planning to revoke players’ scholarships.

In addition to his single season at Alabama, Goff was the head coach at Louisiana Tech for two seasons and at Campbell for seven.
