Football is back, and Tuscaloosa is feeling the love

For the first time in over a decade, the season opener for the Alabama Crimson Tide football team was inside Bryant-Denny Stadium. On Saturday, Alabama faced off against Utah State and came out ahead with a whopping 55-0 final score.

Fans said they’re excited to celebrate the many Alabama traditions at home.

“We set up like 8 a.m. and we went back got the TV and got back out here around 10:30 a.m.,” said Alabama fan Jacob Jett Saturday ahead of the game.

Jett said he was confident the tide will come out on top.

“I’m going to say Alabama is going to cover, whatever it is,” Jett said.

Jewels Bozeman from Fairhope said she was enjoying the atmosphere Saturday because it was her first time attending an Alabama football game.

“It’s been fun so far,” she said early Saturday. “We’ve really had a good time, just been hanging out, got here yesterday and hung out last night.”

Andrew Townley and Jake Morrison said they roll with the Tide no matter the opponent.

Alabama faces the Texas Longhorns on Sept. 10 in Austin. Kickoff is at 11 a.m.
