First responders host National Night Out Aug. 2

National Night Out is celebrated annually in all areas of the country to help strengthen the relationship of first responders and their communities.

Tuesday night, first responders in Tuscaloosa celebrated the day at Snow Hinton Park with free food, activities for children & socializing with their peers.

Jessica McDaniel, with the Tuscaloosa Sheriff’s office told us that they enjoy this event every year and were disappointed that this year was cut short due to inclement weather.

This event helps community members familiarize themselves with those who serve and protect their area.
