FILM INCENTIVES BRINGING MOVIE SHOOTS TO TUSCALOOSA

Three years after passing new film incentives, Alabama says it’s landing more movies.

In 2012, legislators passed a bill expanding how much money that companies producing movies, television shows and commercials can make on expenses and payroll by filming in the state.

The film office said the incentives are working and that the millions of dollars in credits are landing bigger films.

Right now, “The Fight Within,” a faith-based film, is being filmed in Tuscaloosa.
