FEDERAL GRAND JURY INDICTS PAIR FOR KIDNAPPING, CONSPIRACY IN ‘CUPCAKE’ MCKINNEY CASE
A federal grand jury indicted two people Wednesday for kidnapping and conspiracy to kidnap a girl in Birmingham.
The body of 3-year-old Kamille “Cupcake” McKinney was found Oct. 22, 2019, 10 days after her abduction from a birthday party.
Separate indictments were filed against 40-year-old Patrick Stallworth and 29-year-old Derick Brown, also known as Quentesa Jackson.
If prosecutors prove that McKinney’s death resulted from the charges alleged against Stallworth and Brown, they would face minimum life sentences in prison or the death penalty.
