TUSCALOOSA – A Fed Ex driver is behind bars after authorities arrested him for trafficking marijuana.

After a lengthy investigation, members of the West Alabama Narcotics Task Force tracked 28-year-old William Antuane Witherspoon to the 6500 block of East Hargrove Road on Thursday. Task force members arrested Witherspoon and recovered a large quantity of marijuana.

Task force members believe Witherspoon was part of a drug shipping operation that used Fed Ex to transport marijuana.

The investigation is ongoing and other charges could be pending.
