The Fayette Career Center is partnering with C-3 Industrial Development Board to host a Job Fair on Friday.

The fair will be at Bevill State Community College in the Fayette Campus Gym from 2 to 5 p.m.

“We currently have many displaced workers in our area as a result of various layoffs in the mining and oil field services,” said Career Center Specialist Sharron Owens. “These are experienced workers with excellent skills.”

More than 15 employers will be on-hand to meet potential employees, accept applications and offer information with their various industries.

Employers scheduled to attend the job fair include:

  • ARC, Fayette
  • Steeldust Recycling, Millport
  • Marathon, Vernon
  • NWALMH, Fayette, Lamar, Marion
  • Qualified Staffing, Sulligent
  • Prime Communications, Fayette
  • Liberty National Ins. Jasper
  • DCH School of Radiology, Tuscaloosa
  • AL. Dept. of Corrections
  • Sonic, Fayette (afternoon)
  • OxBodies/Norton Transportation
  • Primerica
  • Events Operations Group
  • Family Endeavors
  • Hyster-Yale

Staff from the Fayette Career Center will also be available to assist jobseekers and offer career placement and educational services. The Mobile Career Center will provide internet access for participants to register for JobLink, the state’s free online jobs database.

The Fayette Career Center is located on the Bevill State Community College in the Tom Bevill Building, Room B-37. The center is open Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The Alabama Career Center System is part of the Alabama Department of Labor. Their services are designed to help the citizens gain the skills they need to get a job, locate a position for which they are qualified and provide the resources for applying to jobs, including interview tips.
