FATHER SENTENCED TO 100 YEARS IN PRISON FOR KILLING DAUGHTER
MOBILE, Ala. (AP) – A south Alabama man has been sentenced to 100 years in prison for killing his 8-year-old daughter during a sexual assault.
Local news media report that Hiawatha Robinson was sentenced Wednesday morning in the 2014 murder of his daughter Hiawayi Robinson. Last year, the father pleaded not guilty to charges of murder and sodomy.
Hiawatha argued with judge Charles Graddick during the sentence hearing. He told the judge before leaving the courtroom to “remember this face, I will be back, you will hear this voice again.”
In response, Graddick wants to keep Hiawatha in prison for the rest of his “natural born life.”
Hiawayi’s body was found at an abandoned building in Prichard in 2014, two days after she was reported missing.
Autopsy results showed Hiawayi had been sexually assaulted.
