It was a deadly week on the roads across Central Alabama over the past week. Here’s a roundup of fatal wrecks reported by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division.


Sylacauga man dies in Oct. 28 wreck

A man from Sylacauga died single-vehicle crash near Childersburg around 10 p.m. Oct. 28.

Colten Wilson, 32, was fatally injured when the sedan he was driving left the road in a curve and struck a tree. Wilson was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on Pine Grove Road, about 5 miles west of Childersburg.

Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Highway Patrol Division troopers are investigating the cause of the crash.


Woodstock man dies in Friday Bibb County wreck

A man from Woodstock is dead in the wake of a single-vehicle crash around 5 a.m. Friday, Oct. 29.

Richard R. Bandy, 52, was killed when the pickup he was driving left the road and struck a tree. Bandy, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash happened on Bibb County Highway 24, about 3 miles east of West Blocton.

Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Highway Patrol Division troopers are investigating the cause of the crash.


Man from Jasper killed in Friday evening wreck

A man from Jasper is dead after a single-vehicle crash just after 8 p.m. Friday.

The crash happened on Third Street, about 1 mile north of Sipsey.

Ryan Knight, 28, died when the car he was driving left the road and struck a concrete pillar. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Buhl man dies in motorcycle wreck

A man from Buhl is dead in the wake of a wreck between a motorcycle and a pickup Saturday evening.

Brian D. Moses, 33, was fatally injured when the motorcycle he was driving crashed into the back of a pickup truck.

The crash happened on Tuscaloosa County Road 140, about 12 miles east of Northport.

Moses suffered serious injuries and was taken to DCH Regional Medical Center for treatment but died in the hospital.
