Fatal wreck Friday kills woman from Woodstock

A 37-year-old woman from Woodstock is dead in the wake of a two-vehicle wreck Friday morning.

The crash happened on Interstate 59 near the 98-mile marker, about 2 miles south of Bucksville in Tuscaloosa County.

Jessica R. Kelley was critically injured when the SUV she was driving struck a sedan driven by a 27-year-old from Jasper.

After the initial crash, Kelley’s vehicle overturned several times. She was airlifted to UAB Hospital in Birmingham, where she died Saturday, July 29.

Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division are investigating the cause of the wreck.
