A Day Pic00000000

Fans traveled from all over Alabama to watch the Crimson Tide scrimmage Saturday afternoon. WVUA 23 caught up with some to get their predictions on the upcoming season.

“Trying to replace a quarterback for the third year in a row is kinda … the offensive line has some holes to fill,” said fan Neal Allan “The defense will probably dominate, but honestly I’d love to see Bo (Scarbrough) go beast-mode.”

Fan David Womack said he suspects Cooper Bateman will become Alabama’s next gave his thoughts on who he expects to see at center.

“I think he’s the best,” he said. “We’ve watched two scrimmages, and I think he’s gonna be the man. He just seems more polished, he makes the right decisions and he doesn’t make the turnovers. Working with Lane Kiffin the last couple years, he’s ready”

While some were analyzing the team lineup, others were taking in the A-Day experience. Longtime fan Kandise Wilcox said it was her first trip to Bryant-Denny Stadium.

“The biggest thing I’m expecting or getting the feel of everyone together and cheering and feeling the whole aspect of it,” Wilcox said.

And for some fans, A-Day gives them their football fix until the season starts again.

“We don’t get football for quite a while after this,” said Allan. “So this just gives a reason to come to the stadium be around the team and just enjoy football right before summer starts.”
