Many people were on Lake Tuscaloosa Saturday and Sunday gearing up for the holiday ahead of the crowd. The water was choppy, but not as choppy as it would be on Monday.
Brenda Horner says “We are enjoying ourselves with the time we’ve had. Monday’s going to be very busy so we decided we get ours in today.”
Binion Creek Landing had cars lined up both afternoons waiting for people to slide their boats into the shimmering water. Once they slipped in, they had a blast.
Bailey Lazarus said his favorite part of the early holiday was, “coming out here and getting to spend the day with the family and have some quality time.”
The start of the summer holidays, Memorial Day is one of Lake Tuscaloosa’s busiest days of the year.
