FAMILIES COME TOGETHER TO REMEMBER HURRICANE KATRINA
In Tuscaloosa, one family opens their home every year to bring families impacted by hurricane Katrina, together.
Since 2006, the joiner family comes together every year on the anniversary of hurricane Katrina to share memories from the day Katrina hit the gulf coast.
The Joiner family welcomes people who were affected from the devastating storm. But for the Joiner and Jackson family, they faced more than one disaster. Both families experienced that same loss when the April 27th tornado hit Tuscaloosa. But on the 10 anniversary of hurricane Katrina, both families remember one of the most catastrophic events that brought them to t-town.
