EMS WEEK: PARAMEDICS RACE TO THE SCENE TO PROVIDE EFFICIENT, EFFECTIVE MEDICAL CARE
It is National EMS Week, and WVUA 23 is shining a spotlight on the men and women who save lives all across Tuscaloosa County.
Today, the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Office Paramedic Program is the highlight. Paramedics are often the first to a scene, working alongside firefighters, EMTs and law enforcement at house fires, automobile accidents and crime scenes.
“Just being able to provide this service to the community, there’s not many places that do this, so I would say just great gratitude, just to be here, to be able to do it,” Tiffany Soper, a paramedic who works with the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Office, said.
Tomorrow, WVUA 23 will focus on Northstar EMS and its Star of Life winner.
