EMMETT KYZER IS MISSING: FAMILY OFFERING REWARD
It’s been more than a week since anyone has heard from or seen 82-year-old Emmett Kyzer.
The Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Department continued their search today with more than a dozen officers mounted on all-terrain vehicles. Since Thursday, law enforcement and volunteer crews have searched the area within a 5-mile radius of Kyzer’s home on Keenes Mill Road in Coaling.
Kyzer’s family said they’re offering a $1,000 reward to anyone who provides accurate information that leads investigators to Kyzer.
Great niece Nikki Sanders said the overwhelming outpouring of support since her uncle’s disappearance is a reflection on how loved he is by the community.
“It says a lot,” she said. “It means a lot to us. And usually when stuff like this happens, Tuscaloosa comes together. They always do.”
A cadaver dog team from Columbus, Mississippi is arriving Thursday to join search and rescue efforts.
If Kyzer has not been located by Saturday, another volunteer search will be held. If you’d like to join, donate to the reward or contribute in any way, you’re encouraged to reach out through the Facebook page Missing Emmett Kyzer.
