ELDERLY COUPLE ROBBED, 77-YEAR-OLD MAN KILLED
COTTONDALE – A 77-year-old man and is dead, and his 73-year-old wife is being treated at DCH Regional Medical Center after the couple was robbed at gun point and assaulted in their home Wednesday night.
The robbery and assault happened in a home on the 1500 block of 55th Court East in Cottondale.
Investigators are searching for two black males. One suspect was wearing camouflage face paint and both were wearing dark colored clothing. One was armed with a handgun and the other one was armed with a rifle.
The suspects stole several items from the elderly couple, including a 2005 gold Mercury Marquis.
