EARTHQUAKE ROCKS PARTS OF WEST ALABAMA

A small earthquake shook parts of West Alabama.

The U.S. Geological Survey reports the 3.0 magnitude quake occurred Saturday afternoon nine miles northwest of Eutaw and 31 miles southwest of Tuscaloosa.

The quake occurred at a depth of 3.9 miles.

Earthquakes of that size are considered minor.

No injuries were reported.
