Druid City Derby rolling out in first home bout since 2019
Get ready to rumble: Tuscaloosa’s own roller derby squad is hosting its first home bout since before than pandemic on Saturday.
While Druid City Derby is performing in two other bouts this season, the event on Saturday at Super Skate on McFarland Boulevard is your only chance to see them in Tuscaloosa. Doors open at 5 p.m., with the bout beginning right after.
Druid City Derby is an all-ages, family-friendly event, and will end by 7 p.m. Guests are encouraged to bring their own chairs because of limited rink seating.
Black Warrior Brewing Company in downtown Tuscaloosa is hosting a post-bout after party from 7:15 to 11 p.m., and is donating $1 from every pint sold to Druid City Derby.
You can purchase tickets online right here for $10 plus a 75-cent fee, but tickets are also available at the door for $13. Children 12 and younger get in free.
