DOUBLE MURDER SUSPECT BACK IN SUMTER CO.
A suspect on the run, is finally back in Alabama, after he was found in Miami this week…
All this comes after he allegedly shot and killed two roommates at their residence in Cuba, Alabama back in June.
U.S. Marshals captured Watson in Miami, Florida earlier this week. Sumter County Sheriff Tyrone Clark tells WVUA Watson was not cooperating with officers…so they did not want to risk transporting him by vehicle for 15 hours from Miami. Through Governor Bentley and U.S. Marshals, Watson was transported back to Alabama by air . Watson faces two counts of murder and one count of attempted murder stemming from the girlfriend of a victim being inside the home at the time of the shooting. Clark says this case is proof of how the system works and tells us just how Watson was captured.
Watson’s girlfriend Terrica Jones was also captured by U.S. Marshals in Huntsville last week.
She confessed to authorities that she drove Watson to the victim’s home that night for a drug deal but did not know what was going to happen. Jones also drove Watson to Florida.
As of now she’s being charged with capitol murder..
