DOMINO’S DRIVER HAS VEHICLE STOLEN DURING DELIVERY

By WVUA 23 Web Writer Alaina Upman

Late Saturday night, a Domino’s Pizza delivery driver was delivering a pizza in the 1100 block of 13th Street, when his vehicle was stolen.

The driver left the car keys inside, with the vehicle running, while he was delivering the order. As he walked back to his vehicle, he watched two black males hop into his 2002 Toyota Camry and drive away. The driver chased after his car, and then pursued the suspects on foot when the two men jumped from the vehicle.

The suspects didn’t get far running. Tuscaloosa Police Department officers apprehended the suspects around 10th Avenue, near the railroad tracks.

One of the suspects, Dequarious Prewitt, 18, was held in Tuscaloosa County Jail, while the 16-year-old suspect was held in the Tuscaloosa County Juvenile Detention Center.
