DOLE RECALLS SPINACH

Dole Fresh Vegetables is recalling some cases of bagged spinach over health concerns of salmonella exposure.

The possibly affected cases were distributed in 13 states, including: Connecticut, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Wisconsin.

Illnesses have not been reported, but lab testing found evidence of salmonella in a random sample of the product.

The recalled bags of spinach have an expiration by date of Oct. 15.
