DEPUTIES DISCOVER BODY OF MAN BELIEVED TO BE TRIPLE MURDER SUSPECT
Jefferson County Sheriff Office believes they have found the body of a man wanted in connection to a triple murder in McCalla.
Just before 4:00 pm today deputies responded to a wooded area between Groundhog Road and Lock 17 Road to investigate a report of a suspicious vehicle that had been driven into the woods.
Deputies arrived to find a silver 2005 Dodge Stratus registered to Stephen Sean Hutcheson of McCalla.
The body of a man believed to be Hutcheson was found inside the car, dead from an apparent self inflicted gunshot.
Positive identification will be made by the coroner. It appears the vehicle had been at this location several days.
Hutcheson was wanted on four warrants charging him with capital murder in the shooting deaths of his wife and two children. Their bodies were found June 28 in the home the family shared on Coleman Lake Road in McCalla..
