Death by Chocolate event benefits Family Counseling Service

Hungry? You’re about to be.
A chocolate tasting event and competition was in Tuscaloosa Thursday night, featuring a dozen of West Alabama’s best caterers, bakers, chefs and restaurants showcasing the best chocolate-based desserts they had to offer.
Death By Chocolate benefitted Family Counseling Service, a Tuscaloosa-based nonprofit that offers counseling services for West Alabamians.
Those who attended got to put together a box of chocolates from all different vendors.
At the end of the night, they cast their votes for best chocolate and other awards.
Family Counseling Service Executive Director Larry Deavers said it was great seeing so many people support the cause.
“It gives us a chance to let people know what we do and to also let people become aware of our services who might need our services,” said Deavers.
If you missed the event, don’t fret: You can still donate to Family Counseling Service right here.
