Dangerous Heat and PM Storms Tomorrow… Saturday PM Forecast Update

Happy Saturday! Scattered showers and storms continue throughout West Alabama. These are short lived with quick downpours and some lightning. West Alabama will be storm-free by around the 8pm hour.
Tomorrow will once again have dangerous heat with a heat advisory continuing until 9pm Sunday. Heat indices are able to reach to 110 degrees tomorrow! Showers and storms tomorrow afternoon and evening will help alleviate this heat locally.
Temperatures dip down into the upper 80s by Tuesday thanks to a frontal system passing through overnight tonight. Afternoon-evening showers and storms are possible for the start of the work week. Beautiful weather is in place through the start of the weekend and Alabama football.
The Atlantic hurricane basin is quite active right now with a disturbance, tropical depression and hurricane Franklin. Tropical depression #10 near the Yucatan peninsula is expected to continue growing in strength and head into the warm gulf waters. The National Hurricane Center expects this storm to veer toward the panhandle of Florida, meaning remnant bands of rain for us.
