CROSSINGPOINTS BRINGS “ALICE” TO LIFE

By Kailey McCarthy, WVUA 23 Student Reporter

TUSCALOOSA – The beloved story of “Alice in Wonderland” came to life Wednesday at The University of Alabama.

The CrossingPoints program at the Capstone helped special needs students become Alice, The White Rabbit, The Queen of Hearts and more.

CrossingPoints is a collaboration between the University and Tuscaloosa City and County school systems designed to help special needs students ages 18-21 develop life skills.

Amy Williamson, Program Coordinator, and Adam Tessler, a UA student majoring in special education came up with the idea for a dinner production.

All money earned at the event benefits the CrossingPoint’s students and their job training experiences.
