Crimson Tide might have two top picks in 2023 NFL Draft

Nick Saban has accomplished pretty much everything there is to do as the head coach of the Alabama Crimson Tide except produce a No. 1 overall NFL draft pick.
Yes, Saban has had incredible NFL draft success as a coach but all this can change next year.
Alabama junior edge rusher Will Anderson Jr. and junior quarterback Bryce Young will look to change that narrative. Young is last year’s Heisman Trophy winner. The two are both in early projections as possible top picks in the 2023 NFL Draft.
Anderson is already drawing comparisons to the late Derrick Thomas for his ability to wreck a game off the edge. Anderson compiled 17.5 sacks and 34.5 tackles for loss in 2021. Thomas was the No.4 pick back in the 1989 NFL Draft but it looks right now that Anderson will go higher than that.
Young, the 6 foot 194 pound quarterback, put up 4,872 yards, 47 touchdowns and seven interceptions last season.
There will be analysts who will overreact about his size, but Young has handled the pressure of playing for the Crimson Tide with ease. Young’s calm demeanor will be a big hit with NFL general managers that are looking for a franchise Quarterback.
