COUNTY SCHOOL, NORTHPORT PAIR UP TO HELP STUDENT ATHLETES
Tuscaloosa County High School and the city of Northport have come together for a fun and worthy cause — little league football.
The weekend camp gave children between the ages of 5 and 13 an opportunity to jump-start their athletic careers.
Tuscaloosa County High School football coach Lee Gibson said it’s important to foster the next generation of athletes.
“It’s just an opportunity for us to teach the game that we love and what we do for a living, and it gives them an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of the game, and play the game properly and safely.”
Officials said the partnership will continue next year.
