Looking for a fun night out with friends this spring? Country music singer Miranda Lambert is coming to Tuscaloosa next month.

Lambert, a Texas native, got her start on the Johnnie High Country Music Revenue talent show and independently released her self-titled debut album in 2001. She continued to perform in venues around Texas until she was discovered by Sony Music executive Tracy Gershon and later signed to his label.

Most recently, she headlined the C2C: Country 2 Country music festival in Europe on March 11, 12, 13, 2022, which marked her first performances in the UK since her headlining tour in Europe in 2017. Her Alabama fans will get a chance to see her perform live in April.

According to Visit Tuscaloosa, the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater, located blocks away from the University of Alabama campus, is “the largest outdoor theater in West Alabama and a premier location for arts and entertainment.”

Lambert will be performing at the venue on April 27.

Country fans are excited to see this star in person.

“I’ve been listening to her music since I was little, so I can’t wait to hear her perform live,” one student said. “My mom would always play her music in the car when I was growing up, and when I heard she [Lambert] was coming to Tuscaloosa, I was so excited. The nostalgia from my childhood will be hitting me.”

Lambert’s music brings out different emotions in her fans.

“Her song ‘The House That Built Me’ is one of my instant cry songs. I hope she sings it at the show so I can let out a good cry,” said another anonymous student.

Another student said they are excited to wear pink cowgirl boots to the show.
