Superintendent of Tuscaloosa City Schools, Mike Daria, shared some insight on how counselors and social workers are still available to help students during this pandemic.

“Our counselors and our social workers are using every bit of the virtual means they have to continue to serve our students, whether it’s a counseling need or social need, he said. “They are doing it through phone calls, they are doing it through virtual meetings. The most important part of this is they are finding every way possible to be available to their students and their families. This is an amazing group of people, and their commitment, their relentless work in making sure our students are taken care of, that continues even in this at-home setting.”
