Tuscaloosa’s Community Soup Bowl needs help so they can continue serving up meals to needy residents.

Organizers say the kitchen is running low on food, and it’s asking local residents and businesses to host can food drives so the nonprofit can replenish their dwindling food supply.

Soup bowl organizer Amy Grinstead says items they really need are canned vegetables, such as potatoes, tomatoes, and beans.

Grinstead says anyone who wants to donate can drop off non-perishable goods at the kitchen Mondays through Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 1711 23rd Ave. in Tuscaloosa..
