CITY OF TUSCALOOSA WILL USE FUNDS TO START SMALLER ROAD PROJECTS

A $250 million road project that will spread millions of dollars across the county over five years.

A sales tax started in 2015 generated the revenue.

So far, the City Of Tuscaloosa has about $600,000 at it’s disposal.

Back in May of 2015, the “Transforming Tuscaloosa” Legislation was passed.

It will allow the city to invest $200 million over a 25 year period.

Tuscaloosa City Leaders are discussing moving ahead with some of the smaller road projects.

The city will oversee the road projects.

District 7 Tuscaloosa City Councilwoman Sonya Mckinstry says she’s proud of the Mayor’s hard work.
