CITY TO HOST LAKE TUSCALOOSA CLEANUP DAY ON APRIL 4

Lake Tuscaloosa

The City of Tuscaloosa is once again hosting a Lake Tuscaloosa cleanup day. This year, the event will take place on Saturday, April 4 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. It will begin at the Binion Creek Boat Launch.

The city is calling on volunteers to help participate in the event. Volunteers with boats are especially needed to participate so that the cleanup can encompass a greater portion of the lake. Lunch will be provided and the first 100 volunteers will receive a free Lake Tuscaloosa hat.

At last year’s event, over 50 volunteers helped clean up 5,540 pounds of litter. Lake Tuscaloosa is the primary source of drinking water for Tuscaloosa residents.
