CITY SCHOOLS HOST OPEN FORUM FOR PARENTS
The Tuscaloosa City School Board of Education hosted an open forum for parents today, presenting its five-year plan to the community.
Interim Superintendent Mike Daria said the event offered parents a look at the future of the system’s curriculum, school construction and more. The event also provided parents a way to give feedback in person.
“Education in the Tuscaloosa City Schools certainly is going to change,” Daria said. “When we look at the strategies in our strategic plan, we’ve got a transformation of our teaching — not only our teaching strategies and methods, but our teaching spaces.”
Daria said the plan is still a work in progress and will again be up for debate by the board this fall.
