City of Tuscaloosa to hire 20 at landscape job fair

The City of Tuscaloosa is looking to hire a fresh crop of employees to keep the city grounds pristine at a job fair happening on Thursday, July 14.

The Landscape and Grounds Maintenance Job Fair will be held at the Tuscaloosa River Market that day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Members of the Human Resources Department will help candidates complete applications for around 20 positions, including crew workers and equipment operators.

A driver license and high school diploma or GED are required, while experience with similar work and a Commerical Driver License are preferred. Candidates should also be prepared to interview.

On-the-job training and a full benefits package with paid time off, Blue Cross Blue Shield health insurance and a membership into the Retirement Systems of Alabama come with each position.
