CITY OF TUSCALOOSA APPROVES UNIVERSITY BOULEVARD & GREENSBORO AVENUE PROJECT

No dedicated turn signals or synchronized lights along Greensboro Avenue and University Boulevard in Downtown Tuscaloosa.

During Tuesday’s Finance Committee Meeting, the Council approved $200,000 for the project.

The council is trying to decide if the traffic signal changes will be done by the City Of Tuscaloosa or an outside firm.

“We had some money in the Capital Fund that was designated for decorative signals along University Boulevard. The proposal was to take that money and fund an Engineering Firm for making these Intersection Improvements” says District 3 Tuscaloosa Councilwoman Cynthia Almond.

It will now go back to projects committee for approval.
