CHOM’S EASTER EGGSTRAVAGANZA EMPHASIZES LEARNING, FUN
Easter is coming up, which means there will be plenty of traditions like an easter egg hunt and pictures with the Easter bunny. However, the Children’s Hands-On Museum (CHOM) does things a little different.
This Saturday, CHOM will provide crafts and games for young children in order to get them into the spirit of Easter. Public programs coordinator Kimberly Crabbe said this event includes everything but an Easter egg hunt to make the holiday more interesting.
“Well, a regular Easter egg hunt, although is fun for the holiday and everything, when you come to the Children’s Hands-On Museum, we try to make you learn a little bit and work through things kids might be developing with at the time,” Crabbe said. “So like, if it’s little kids, fine motor skills.”
The event runs all day Saturday from 9 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Admission is $9 and free for children under the age of 1.
