CHILDREN’S HANDS-ON MUSEUM PUTS ON DUCK DERBY FUNDRAISER

Duck Derby

Saturday wound up the perfect day for being outdoors, and the Children’s Hands-On Museum‘s 12th annual Duck Derby was no exception.

The event is CHOM’s biggest fundraiser of the year, and tickets sold included event admission and the chance to win prizes and take part in children’s activities.

“The money we raise goes to support or pay for all of the programs we provide to children during the year,” said CHOM Executive Director Charlotte Gibson. “It does not go to support the exhibits’ upkeep, but it does support all the things that we do.”

The nonprofit serves 82,000 visitors each year, and provides experiences for children to learn through play. CHOM accepts donations any time via their website, chomonline.org.
