CHILDREN MEET UA ATHLETES, GIVE BACK AT HALLOWEEN EXTRAVAGANZA

Alabama Athletics hosted its 17th annual Halloween Extravaganza Monday night.

The event took place at the Hank Crisp Indoor Facility. Children had the opportunity to meet some of their favorite student athletes, while playing games and trick or treating.

More than 250 student athletes were present, and each team had their own station. The athletes not only celebrated Halloween with the children, but they were also accepting canned goods at the door for Beat Auburn Beat Hunger.

“Beat Auburn Beat Hunger is a thing that we do. We try to collect as many cans as we can, and we donate that to charity,” Alize Ford, a member of the UA track team, said.

The Athletic department will donate the canned goods collected at Halloween Extravaganza to charity to help fight hunger and poverty in West Alabama.
