Struggling small business in Tuscaloosa will be receiving relief from a local source.

Jim Page, the president and CEO of the Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama, announced a Small Business Relief Fund on Monday. The fund will help maintain local businesses during the current COVID-19 pandemic.

Although relief is coming, Page tells business owners not to expect it immediately.

“This can be a significant life line for a lot of businesses but it is an involved process and financial relief won’t come over night so to help businesses understand this process the Chamber has partnered with the Small Business Development Center at the University of Alabama to offer a free webinar [Tuesday] that leads me to this week’s programming,” Page said. “The chamber will have a COVID-19 related webinar conference call every day this week.”

The Chamber partnered with The Community Foundation of West Alabama to provide this service.
