CENTREVILLE MAN KILLED IN WRECK, DRIVER INJURED

MARION – Alabama State Troopers are investigating after a 28-year-old man was killed in single vehicle collision in Perry County.

It happened Tuesday around 10:45 p.m. on Perry County 162 about 10 miles north of Marion.

According to Alabama State Troopers, 28-year-old Mario Philenta Farley of Centreville was killed when the 1996 Honda Accord in which he was a passenger left the roadway and hit several trees before overturning. Troopers said that Farley was not wearing a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver, 24-year-old Samuel Calvin West of Brent, was transported to Bibb Medical Center in Brent for treatment.
