CENTRAL ELEMENTARY STUDENTS GO BACK TO SCHOOL WITH AN ENTOURAGE

Central Elementary School students had a surprise waiting for them when they went back to school Thursday morning.

Dozens of men from the community were on-hand, wearing their best and offering students a warm welcome full of high-fives and cheers.

It was all part of the “They will be what they see” initiative. Principal Monte Linebarger said making school exciting and fun is the key to learning.

“We have to blow their minds,” he said. “School cannot be like it was when we were in school. I wasn’t excited. But this, this is amazing.”
