Ceiling Collapses at Huntsville Arena Before Hockey Game

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (AP) – Engineers are trying to determine why a ceiling collapsed at Huntsville’s event center moments before a hockey game started.

Al.com reports that a portico collapsed at the Von Braun Center on Tuesday before the Huntsville Havoc game.

Spokeswoman Samantha Nielsen says no one was hurt.

The portico covered the entrance to the “skate lobby” where hockey players enter and have their locker rooms.
